1936 Packard V12 Coupe

meticulously restored over the past four years
J. J. Best Banc & Co.

The V12 Packard was produced from 1933 to 1939 with over 35,000 rolling off the assembly line. In 1936, Packard made 682 cars in the Fourteenth Series. This beautiful 5-passenger coupe, model 1407, originally sold for $3,990.

In the 1936 model year, Packard employed 5,100 production workers, with half assigned to the Senior Packards (Eight, Super Eight and Twelve). This was to insure the Packard hallmark of quality. The only visual differences between the Fourteenth and Twelfth Series (there was no Thirteenth) is the 5-degree slant of the radiator shell and the chrome strips around the headlamps.

The Fourteenth Series was the last to include a phaeton, a dual cowl phaeton and a seven-passenger touring car. The Fourteenth Series was also the final year for the 17-inch wire wheels and the double-blade bumpers with hydraulic dampers.

This 1936 Packard Coupe was delivered by the Packard Motor Company on April 7, 1936 from its showroom in New York City. It has been meticulously restored over the past four years and was only completed in June of 2018. Although it was a frame-on restoration, the undercarriage has been expertly cleaned and repaired. The paint, chrome, gauges and woodwork have been excellently restored and are in perfect condition.

This sleek classic travels flawlessly down the road at highway speed with ease. When you choose to go slower, it is ready to show at any CCCA and AACA event.
