Store with us!
Our vehicle storage facility offers secure, climate-controlled accommodations designed specifically for classic, collector, and exotic automobiles. Whether short-term or long-term, our storage provides peace of mind for enthusiasts who value proper care and preservation of their prized vehicles.
Steps to Prepare
1
Clean and Detail the Car
Wash and wax the exterior to remove dirt, salt, and debris that can cause corrosion. Clean the interior to prevent odors and deter pests. Lastly, treat areas of exposed metal. Oftentimes scratches or pitting in chrome will worsen and may even rust. To prevent this apply a wax, ceramic coating or a safe oil to the surface of the exposed metal surface.
2
Change the Oil and Fluids
Fresh oil helps prevent contaminants from damaging internal engine components. Top off coolant, brake, and windshield washer fluids to protect the system.
3
Fill the Fuel Tank and Add Stabilizer
A full tank prevents moisture buildup and a fuel stabilizer slows gasoline break down during seasonal storage. We recommend STA-BIL and ethanol-free gasoline for older cars with carburetors. Be sure to run the engine after filling to introduce the treated fuel to the entire fuel system.
4
Protect the Battery
Disconnect the battery or use a trickle charger to maintain charge and prevent electrical drain or sulfation.
5
Inflate the Tires
Fill tires other than the high end of the allowable pressure to avoid flat spots. For longer term storage, consider using tire cradles or slightly raising the car.
6
Cover and Seal
If you have a clean car and clean cover use a breathable car cover. If the car or cover show signs of contamination we recommend using a looser fitting plastic cover. Lightweight plastic will prevent scratches on the paint surface, however airflow and humidity is important. We recommend maintaining 30-50% humidity and having good airflow around the vehicle.
7
Select a Proper Storage Location
Ideally, store your car in a dry, climate-controlled facility like ours to protect it from temperature swings and excess humidity that can cause rust or damage.
