CollectorsNotes

Presented here is a striking 1951 Ford Victoria Coupe, finished in a bold Candy Apple Red body with a Cream White roof and complemented by a classic black rolled and pleated interior. Restored between 1998 and 2001, this car was refinished with PPG paint and clear coat in 1999, giving it a deep shine that highlights its timeless curves. Custom touches such as cruiser skirts at the rear, chrome beauty rings, and 1956 Oldsmobile spinner hubcaps on the front add to its period-correct presentation and give the car undeniable street presence. Under the hood, this Victoria has been modernized for both reliability and performance. It is powered by a 1984 Lincoln Town Car 302 cubic inch V8 engine, paired with a 1984 Lincoln A.O.D. automatic transmission and a 4.11 rear end. The car sits lowered two inches at the front and rear, giving it a purposeful stance while improving handling and stability. These upgrades blend seamlessly with the car’s classic styling, making it equally suited for weekend cruising or showing. Mechanically, the car benefits from a comprehensive refresh during its restoration. It was converted to a 12-volt system with all-new bulbs, a Ron Frances wiring harness, and a Dur-Spark distributor with a one-wire alternator. Reliability was further enhanced with new shocks, coil springs, brake components, brake lines, gas lines, and more recently a newer set of tires and a new battery. Even safety was considered, with the addition of a third brake light wired beneath the package tray, which can also be extended to the rear window if desired. The wheels complete its distinctive look, with 1977 Thunderbird wheels up front paired with stock 1951 Ford wheels at the rear, balancing originality with subtle customization. Chrome accents and tasteful trim finish off the car’s presentation, giving it the perfect blend of 1950s flair and modern refinement. The odometer shows 97,949 actual miles, though the speedometer is currently inoperable. Originally delivered to Florida and later brought to Ohio in 1989, this Ford Victoria has been preserved, restored, and upgraded with care. The result is a classic that captures the charm of the early postwar Fords while offering the peace of mind that comes with modern drivability. Stylish, reliable, and unique, this 1951 Ford Victoria Coupe is an ideal choice for collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate period customs with thoughtful upgrades.
